Christine

My paintings consist of several layers and I am not concerned with the end result beforehand. This is created layer by layer and that process lasts until I am satisfied.

The road to the end result gives me room for creativity, I am not bound by anything, I can make what I like and change what I am not satisfied with. Wonderfully absorbed in focus and I can easily do that for a year. By not (yet) working on commission, I do not experience any pressure and I can work from feeling. Look, put light and dark against each other, take a step back, look again, is that right? I really enjoy that process.

In 1997 I started a course “drawing and painting”. Now 25 years later I still paint with this club. I have been able to develop under the guidance of Steef van Duyvendijk who still manages to challenge me in a positive way. At home, my husband, Rob, has converted our garden house into a studio so that I can work from home.

I like to show my work and especially to show you the way to it. Each layer plays its own role in the end result.

Have fun Christine
